Those 2 little machined aluminum nuts that hold that flat trim panel above the steering wheel column on. The one in between the column and the HVAC panel always seems to get stuck beyond belief. -

transmission input shaft seal. I motherfuckinghatethem. easy enough when you're doing a clutch job or trans swap, but when you have to pull the exhaust, driveshaft, and transmission out just to replace that little fucking seal you get kinda angry.
output shaft seal isn't fun either if you're having trouble getting output flange off.Leave a comment:

Parts wise its an easy swap... but space is really limited on the backside of the trans and bench pressing it back up and onto the trans shaft without damaging the seal is a real challenge.Leave a comment:

driveshaft, not cause its hard to get out, just hard to get leverage on those bolts that connect it to the diff.

My sunroof was no problem, and the one I removed was made of glass....
Mine used to be the dash- the entire wiring harness was literally woven into it from underneath. took 2 hours by myself to get it out and in 1 piece, it was crackless so I was pretty anxious to get it out very carefully.
Then I removed the stock exhaust from my 87 325is with 230k. It was driven in Upstate NY most of its life. Pulled it in a garage that was 30 degrees in mid-January- with a socket wrench and a combo wrench. Squealing, rusty, PB blaster soaked 20 degree turns at a time. Words cannot express the frustration.Leave a comment:

HVAC box on pretty much any BMW where you cannot damage parts to get to it. A close second is the E30 headliner/sunroof. I'd much rather do a diff swap or install new rear wheel bearings than that job. Tedious is the first word that comes to mind.
Transfer case swap to a lockable one on my 03 LR Disco was a bear too...Leave a comment:

Fixed. I've done water pumps and blower motors on those as well.
Half shafts/axles
Anything cooling-system related, I hate the smell of used coolant and bleeding the system afterward.
Rear shocks in my Touring. Ya have to take almost the whole trunk area apart to get to the top bolts. If you drop one in the fender area, be prepared for another 30min or so of disassembly and fishing for the nut. Ask me how I know...Leave a comment:
