We have no CL here so its ebay for the bargains and alot of used bits.

      Aside for getting fuckspence for good bits as a seller, then paying ebays rip fees and THEN having ebay/paypal rape your anooos again with paypal, im not going to use it anymore. Especially when;

As a seller, ebay do NOTHING about non paying bidders AND that as a seller you cant give neg feedback to people who bid then make 0 contact.

As a buyer, they have NEVER helped me out.

I have reported people with two accounts for trying to bump their own prices and bidding against me. They did once ban a guy for it but I know of 5 others that still do it daily, they dont care, it just means they get a bigger slice of the percentage cake when the seller bumps his own prices.

I will expand a little on my bad experiences as a buyer that I mentioned in the shoe thread.

I bought something from the USA and wanted it ASAP. Seller gave me three options on freight,
      Round figures
      $150 freight for 4-7 days
      $100 freight for 7-14 days
      $50 freight for 14-28 days.

I paid the $150. 40 fucking days later i get the "kit" and the dirt bag had sent it on the slowest freight option and it showed as costing him $35. I paid $150 for the freight.

Then I open the box and for the sake of the arguement, lets say it was a set of coil springs. I got 3 springs and not 4.

Another 40 odd days later right at the end of the cut off time, the seller agrees to send the 4th spring. You guessed it, the slow boat, another 35 odd days later i recieve incorrect spring and being outside the timeframe to make a dispute, I had not a leg to stand on.

I spent far too many hours fighting paypal and the seller and the only thing that got me anywhere, once I was at wits end, was threatening the seller via email that I had family near him and if he didnt do the right thing, they would visit.

Another 40 odd days later i got the last spring.

No refund on the $115USD (and aussie dollar was at around USD$.76 at the time) even though I had photo evidence, photos showing the cost of the freight on the freight label.

Paypal can suck my cock, they do nothing for their money, make a fortune off interest on the gazillion dollar float they have going on AND charge you to recieve.

Every time I see that Paypal/Ebay buyer protection logo it makes me laugh.

      end rant lol

I hadnt had an issue up until recently when some mexican claimed I sold him an iphone with a shoddy button like two weeks after receiving it. Not broken, the button was "sticky." (which it wasnt when I sent it). I cleared out my paypal account information and was prepared to just walk when the dispute came but eventually the dude realized it wasnt my phone but one of the hundred others he had bought.

And then I sold a lens to a guy in Alaska and Paypal held my payment for a month (been a user for 7 years, never got a negative feedback) after he left feedback before I could deposit it. That was hundreds of dollars I didnt have access to. If he had decided to fuck me I would have been out the lens and money.

From now on its google checkout, CCs through square or you mail me a check/MO and I wait until it clears before I send it.
        Im now E30less.

yeah, I'm not saying PP isn't without problems. I must say the prospect of some douchebag filing a scam/claim and holding up the hundreds of dollars I have in there scares me. I've been thinking of moving over to google checkout for most of my transactions but I haven't looked into it yet.

I think they went totally down the shitter when Ebay bought them. What a trainwreck that's become.. every time they try to "improve" ebay they make it worse!

I've had problems with paypal. They locked my account because of suspicious activity so they say. Mean while the only thing I did was get paid twies within a few minutes and i transferred the money by bank in different transactions. So they locked my account for 6 month and held my 250 bucks until they unlocked it. I never understood how this was suspicious activity but what ever there all dicks.

I despise paypal, most customers mail a check or money order. IRS is now involved with them, anything over $20k a year and "oh hi" gimme your money.

Same here for me. Very lucky. Although Paypal loves to double charge my checking account when I send large amounts of money. Has happened every time. Comes out of my account within hours. Takes DAYS AND WEEKS to get paid back. Fuck Paypal
