Nice stuff, but I can think of at least one other builder I'd use. And even then, you really only need a M20 expert for the head (port/polish/etc), the bottom end can be handled by any competent machine shop.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I just don't like them. There is a reason timing chains are (mostly) the norm now. With the exception of Volvo, VW, and Audi (with a $3-4k timing belt job on the 3.0 V6 cars) everyone else has learned.

If the belt does snap between reg maint intervals (I do mine every 2-3 years despite lower mileage) you simply retime it, install new belt and continue driving.sigpic
