it's kind of sad, because the further south you go in Mexico the nicer it gets. we were in Puerto Vallarta in 2009, 2/3rds of the population were americans and everyone spoke english. It felt like a tropical version of Spain, but with a Costco, Best Buy, and a Wal*Mart. lol.
