almost bought b5 s4 before I got my e30. Serious money pit though

While trolling online I found a 99 528 wagon 5spd w/ 157k on it. My e30 has close to 200k on it w/out issues, same reliability for the E39? Or will it end up being a nickle and diming ride? Also, how are they as far as DIY? The only reason I've been leaning away from the WRX/Imprezza is b/c I don't need to have the cops looking at me. I'd love one but I'm afraid I'd start doing shit to make it fast and get in trouble w/ the fuzz....

I have a perfectly mint e39 528i touring 5 speed car silver/black with sport package. This thing was offered to me by BMW 2 days ago and I took it for a couple days. My wife didnt dig the 5 speed though. 134k on it and its got mint style 5's on it. Let me know.. I can get it for 6800 if you want it. Theres not a mark on this thing

The 98 Volvo V70 T5 is your best bet. It is so versatile and has a high torque. It's equipped with a high pressure turbo that will give you 250 bhp. It can even haul a decent size sailboat despite it being front wheel drive. Just wanted to share my Volvo and how happy I am with it.

Just an FYI-- the Legacy GT (turbo) was only made in wagon and manual form in 2005. Amazing car, but extremely rare. If you want one, best places to look are Colorado, the PNW, and the Northeast.

I would recommend and e34 touring, but since they were only imported as autos...

I just got one and I love it so far. It's the older more comfortable more sophisticated version of the e30.

I would +1 on the Volvo's too. Reliable as shit.
