    Business Cards

Hey guys! I have to make a business card for one of my classes.. We are then having to present them to a few people in the real estate industry to have them critique them.

I was curious as to how some of you designed your cards? I dont necessarily need help with the info but more so how to make them look great. All of the websites I have found seem cheesy as hell and dont really allow a lot of customization.

    Any help would be awesome!

    Vistaprint.

I use them, my brother uses them, and my dad uses them. My dad's a Realtor in Sonoma/Marin County. The key is to keep them simple, plain, and professional. You're not a landscaper, so keep the trees and shit off of there. I'll try and find one of each and post them up.

cool i will check them out!

There were about 100 tonight that i looked through and pretty much found what i liked and didnt like. Some people have wayyyyyy to much information on them.

My biggest dilema is that since I do not have a business or work for someone in this situation. We have to have them to give to whoever we come in contact with in the work world.. and so having one with what i do currently wouldnt portray what I am trying to do. If that makes any sense at all.

I saw a few that had student under their name but to me that seemed kind of odd

Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!

I get free cards once a month from overnightprints and vista print.

they say various things and have nothing to do with my business.

Business cards are an art form by themselves. Unless you're in the design/creative/landscaping/other very specified field a simple and astounding card that gives presence will always be the best. Is this as just an example for your class? If you have options use your major. You're going to be a Civil Engineer right? Run with that, but stay tasteful.

I have one set that's very simple, no indication of what my expertise is, just contact information. And this is the last set I had printed - I think I used overnight prints as well. Design was on paper for a long time and ran with it. Pretty happy with how they came out...

Old picture, with lint, and I PSed my phone number out:

One of my favorite movies of all time.

New card, what do you think?

                  Whoa-ho. Very nice. Good coloring.

                  That's bone.

And the lettering is something called Silian Rail.

the owner of the company i work for has "buisness cards".
he hands them to people he doesn't know saying, "here is my buissness card".

they look down and it is a white card and the only txt is centered reading "My Buisness Card"

                        he's a nice guy.

My cards are simple and straight to the point:

Name of my business, a little list of common things we do in construction. Then my contact information. Off white card with raised red lettering with 4 evenly spaced lines and a title. No border, I think that takes too much attention away from the reason of a card =)
