I think it time to start using oil from Alaska

The amount of oil in the ANWR is so miniscule it's rediculous. It wouldn't even phase prices.

Some of you guys in the eastern half of the States are getting hosed at the pump (no pun intended). I've been hearing news stories about some unreal price hikes...sometimes changing by the hour. Being in California, high gas prices are a fact of life. For the last 6 months I've been paying at least $2.90/gal. or more (always 91 octane....thank you JC chip). Tonight I filled the tank to beat any possible Labor Day weekend price spiking.....paid $3.25/gal. at a 76 station. I'm sure it will rise more.

California's specially formulated fuels don't come from the gulf region.....we are more dependent on Alaskan and foreign sources than anything else. Despite this, the market speculators (and good ol' supply & demand) will determine what we will be paying in the coming months....regardless of where your fuel comes from.

I'm just glad our cars (most of them) have locking gas caps. Someone at work got a full tank of gas robbed from them, lol suckers. $50 bucks down the drain.

I now pay $6,53 a gallon(assuming one us GAL is 3.8liters)

I work at an autoparts store and yesterday everyoen started going nuts for locking gas caps and gas cans....I seriously talked to over 100 people about them in person and on teh phone. Me and my fellow employee then proceeded to buy all the cans and caps that came into stock and when we got off work and it was legal went to the gas stations and sold them.

i filled up all my cars and 10 5 gallon tanks and an 11 gallon tank the day before katrina hit. hopefully itll last a while b/c gas on the boat docks is about $4.50 a gallon right now. up from $3.00 and its just 87 oct gas.

Oh, Rob. My car started, smelled like laquer thinner so I think I should get some Stabil. Drove it 30 miles. Now I am just leaving it here and riding back, fuck cars I dont need them. Oh and if anyone thinks about stealing it, it will be in a locked garage with a security system and my guns are also at his disposal also.
