I would say to contact her. My 19 old stepdaughter considers me her real dad. Her real dad is a dead beat and a drug abuser. Her second step dad raised her till about 9/10 years of age and her mom and dad divorced. He deciced to not raise her anymore. I came in the pic about 4 years later and married her mom never broke a promise to her in the 5 years i have been in her life. I say do it,you just never will know what might happen. I say you should also do it.
My father was 42 when he found out he was adopted. He was raised a single kid, and through an inheritance he found it all out. Allthat he knew was that he had some brothers, so after placing newspaper adds in the paper where he was born, he received a call from an ex wife of one of his brothers, saying that the dates/story sounded familiar. Come to find out he has 7 brothers and 2 sisters. It was pretty cool for him to find out he had family-- in the end, they all had found each other- were all adopted- except no idea where my father was.Comment

You have to do what you have to do man. If you have a drive to find some of your real family, then do it. There's nothing wrong with her finding out she has a brother.
