why are movies sucking lately?

I love a good film but Drive was mediocre at best. You would think that for a movie called Drive, there would be more, ya know, driving? The opening scene was amazing, the soundtrack was perfect and it even had me hooked through all the lovey dovey parts. But once the husband got out of jail it went down hill fast. The pacing went way out of whack, the violence was just too over the top, and the acting took a nose dive. They had this huge buildup during the first half of the movie and it was like the director finally realized that he needed to get something going so he crammed 3 hours worth of stuff into 1 hour. I usually don't go off on rants like this but Drive really pissed me off because it started sooo well and ended terribly.

It was called drive, because the main character's name was DRIVER! And what did he do for a living, DRIVE! Who gives a shit on the amount of driving, yes the trailer showed only driving scenes, but the movie was about a man doing what is right in terms standing up for what he believes in. He did whats right for his boss, the next door neighbor, her kid, her husband, and what he believes in. Sure he's a bad man, a criminal, fell in love with a married woman (who hasn't?) but he stands for something. Not a lot of people in fiction or non fiction stand up for what they believe in.

As for the plot it all goes to shit because the mob gets involved. Name one movie with mobs were it doesn't go to shit and the storyline goes to hell.

Did you know Ryan Gossling restored the Malibu he drove, that's fucking awesome from an enthusiast's stand point.

I believe it ended well, he killed the men responsible for all of the shit that went wrong and didn't take the money.....He might as well been Duke fucking Wayne riding off in the sunset. Great movie if you ask me, not hard to interpret either; I guess a lot of people didn't get it.

Believe after watching TerraNova I was looking for some ending but there is no ending of movie. There is no ending just 2 hrs movie and ends.

I really enjoyed this movie as well! First movie I have seen in theaters in a while because nothing has seemed appealing to me recently.
