You say that the grip, trigger have been removed but did not mention whether or not the rest of the firing mechanism is intact. if it is, It would seem to me that your weapon fall under the article I quoted above, '...can be readily restored to shoot...'

Down in the outer banks I've seen trucks with heavy weapons mounted in the back. though, I'm sure those are completely decommissioned/no one cares because it's the beach.

gonna test mount it random places and just see what looks the best.
