Serenity: I must admit, I'm a pretty big sci-fi dork, and Firefly is easily my favorite fiction TV show (24 is a close second), so I'm stoked about this movie. The folks that have seen prescreenings claim its incredible, and I hope it does well so the TV show comes back. Anyone that hasn't seen Firefly should check it out on DVD, it really is a quality show if you like action/adventure type stuff

I just saw Firefly for the first time when visiting my family in England... fucking awesome! I'm hoping it will be the next sci-fi movie chain that will be worth watching. It won't come back to TV for sure... which is a shame.

I'm totally going to want to see this... very nice spin on the sci-fi genre which I think will last. Wanted to see that opening night, but I have this stupid family road trip that weekend :evil: I'll see it as soon as I get back though.

Edit: I don't go to the movies as often because of assholes talking on cell phones, making noise, etc. Anyone else remember when going to the movies was a civil and peaceful experience. I've almost gotten into two fist fights in movie theatres in the last 5 years.

BTW- I am anxious about the supposed Indiana Jones 4, they better not ruin it...


oh- I was thinking of a different British Gangster movie, not "I'll sleep..."; which looks like another Get Carter remake. The one I was thinking of was about some ganster who was trying to get out of the business but couldn't or something, I'll try and find it...

The preview had the line of the crime boss saying something like "guys like you can never leave the business because you make too much money for guys like me..."

Rob did you ever watch Farscape? i loved that show.

I watched every Firfly show (Like 10 episodes?) back to back one night with a couple friends.


they had some seriously funny parts in there, especially with the black mercenery gets on the ship...

Crash: A seriously good flick. A nicely timed film with a pretty decent ensemble cast, save for Sandra Bullock, who is absolutley worthless. A really refreshing "race" film that actually allows some of the characters to flesh out and gives justification to everyone. It's still floating around at a lot of the cheap theatres, and I think it's on DVD. Go out and catch this one. As much as I hate to say it, f'n Ludacris actually puts on a good performance, including some hilarious lines about hip hop's role in the destruction of black society. The film pushes a lot of buttons without being too heavy handed, although it gets there in spots. I enjoyed it.

Crash was good, I liked it a lot even though I was dragged to it not knowing what it was about. Ludacris surprised the shit out of me and the irony of some of his statments in the movie was great.


Anyway no love for four brothers (think it probably zipped out of theaters now) decent "popcorn" movie.

Oh and King Kongs comming.

MTV Oddities was a bad-ass segment MTV had going for a while.

However I never understood Aeon Flux, and the movie looks about as good as the Taco Bell and beer a threw up yesterday.

Now if fthey made a movie based on 'The Head' I'd be all over it.

It's being released for the PSP ONLY. At least, that's what they said on X-Play yesterday when they showed a 5 minute trailer for it. Weaksauce. However, if you're slick like me, you'll just download it and burn it to a DVD. And it's a good rip, too. VERY hi-res. :up:

And BTW, The Head fucking ROCKED. Did anyone ever watch "The Maxx"? I have the video of the full season, plus every issue of the comic.

brothers grimm | sucked. if you like a movie that is bad in all aspects, go watch it.

four brothers | amazing. i highly recommend it. if you want a movie where theres alot of gun fights and awesomeness, go watch it and enjoy it.

red eye | decent. the chick was quite hot. pretty sure they dragged it out for too long though. (my opinion.)

walked the line | looks awesome. johnny cash has been a influence on me and my bandmates..we plan on seeing this together. :P

transporter 2 | bunch of my friends saw it and said it was a good action movie. i'll prolly check it out sometime.

the exorcism of emily rose | few of my friends saw it and said it was amazing. i plan on seeing this before transporter 2.

The Maxx was cool, but weird. I wish it was still on now.

Transporter 2 was GARBAGE...A WASTE OF $$$ I was warned but decided to go since I was with 3 other people and I wasn't paying. It was torture watching the movie :roll:

Crash - Just watched it on DVD. Badass Movie. Totally catches you off guard, you think you know what's about to happen but you don't :shock: Had me on the edge for sure
