What do you use to shave?

So I am going to upgrade to a cut throat razor, sick of shaving rash and in-grown hair. From what I have read and heard wet shaving solves most of these problems.

So anyways I am board wait for work at work lol and though I get a pole going on what you use to shave, and also get some views on why you use what you use?

I would NOT dive head-first to a straight razor. Start wet shaving first, then get a DE/safety razor and get used to 30-degree single blade shaving. Then when you are ready go for a straight razor. If you go straight to the cut throat, you will go from shaving rash to blood everywhere.

I hit it up with the electric and then finish it off with a wet shave. Electric razors suck - even the expensive braun one that I have. I touch it up with a 5 bladed schick in the shower w/ face soap. No cuts, no razor burn and a pretty close, pain free shave.

LOL thats the goal blood every where. So what is the differance between wet and straight I Thought they are the same thing?

I am more worried about keeping the razor sharp and true it seems a lot harder to get it that right sharpness, will need to practice with that.

                    Yes it does.

I literally use a 1/16th inch hair trimmer to keep a permanent 5:00 shadow.

I've seriously debated in grabbing an electric shaver. But I've been wanting to for 4 years now.

                    Gotta keep the tradition going

I started using an electric just after high school, never used anything since. They aren't for everyone, they're really rough on some types of skin/hair. But I love mine.

clippers/trimmers, i have sensitive skin and coarse hair that is very susceptible to ingrown hairs and razor burn, plus i like to have some scruff
