I would guess the more you tell them you know the better.

If you approached the dealer and said why didn't you unwind the deal, etc. I know what you could have done then they might fell obligated to maybe want to help you more.

I'd do some research on lemon laws if I were you. the government doesn't look too favorably on that.

Started a gripe if anyone is interested in sharing it for me. Not sure what will come of it but I am trying to spread the word.

Oh forgot to mention: Hyundai dealers participate in this CSI score rating thing. I'm sure the salesman pitched it to you over and over that he needs all "5's" on his survey. These survey scores determine how much the salesmen get paid per car from Hyundai, and also the dealers overall score determines how much bonus money they get each month for their volume. The sales guy must maintain an average, or Hyundai doesn't deposit $250 on his Hyundai Debit card for each car he sells.

You can make sure that you give them all 1's on the survey. This should hurt them a bit...and will likely result in a Hyundai rep calling you to ask about your experience.

As you probably never will. Honestly I think Lemon law is if the car is returned three time for the same problem it is then a "lemon" and must be replaced.

if you're not happy then give them all 1's.

I wasn't happy with our house inspector. I wasn't upset enough to give him a bad score, so I opted not to score him at all.

Get a Nissan next time. I personally watched this happen twice, once with a 370Z and once with a Murano. The 370 make a clicking noise from the drive-train at speeds. It got a new trans, diff, and drive-shaft and still made clicking noises. Nissan flew two engineers on an overnight flight to figure out the problem. The guys couldn't figure it out so Nissan gave the customer a different brand new 370z and flew the "lemon" back to Japan to get torn apart and inspected. Three months later it was the Murano I cant remember what the problem was exactly something with the AWD system. But same two dudes showed up and the very same thing happened. If I ever buy a new car it will most likely be a Nissan unless I get to millionaire status then of course BMW.

Yeah you likely will not. It was common that If we felt the customer was going to bone us on the survey, we would input the fake info of a family member or friend. Shady..but there was always those customers that no matter how nice and accommodating you were to them, they were still pissed about the price they got..so they would fuck your survey score.

I was always calling my friends and saying "if you get a call from Hyundai asking for "ho chi min" and his experience buying a Genesis, pretend you are Asian and just say "10, 10, 10!"

Thats fucked up. Especially when there are real customer service issues going on. I don't have any issues with the sales dude. He didn't know it was broken.

Thanks for putting this up. A good friend of mine is about to buy the same car. I hope she does not.

Thanks, I hope your friend hears about our experience. I am not really questioning their over all reliability but their horrendous customer service and lack of concern for the customers.

Wow that sucks. I am surprised they don't take the small hit in overall profits to help a customer out.

I grew up with a dad who hated Nissan for some reason so I have this odd avoidance of them. But I have always liked the z's. This has boosted my opinion of them, thanks.
