Well I'm fucked. I missed a test because I was in an accident (email profofessor from hospital as well as the department chair) and my professor won't let me retake the test. What a douche. I gave him a scathing end of year review, and spoke to the department chair.

Looks like I get to take calculus again next semester.

Just finished my last final. Now all I have left to do is turn in a project tomorrow.

Me too and nothing feels better. Can't wait to get home to work on the E30, it's been too long.

well shit. i guess i didnt know we had an exam posted, and totally missed it. 50pts down the drain. dropped me to a C+ as long as i do the rest of my assignments i should come out with a B+.


my form of studying, i just read my whole textbook even if we dont use it for the class at all. then just pay attention to the notes and usually can know the answers if not make an educated guess.

math and lab stuff though is what i make sure to actually study since you need to know formulas and shit.

I hate Studying for finals, even If i make a plan and set time aside i end up getting distracted.

I was taking my C for Engineers final when you took that pic. If you see a guy cruising around all half-assed and clumsy like on a pizza skateboard, that's me. Haven't seen your car around, but I know you can fix your oil pan with JB weld if the damage isn't too bad and you haven't fixed it yet. My turbo oil drain is JB welded in the pan. Are you in the South Florida E30s chat group with the GroupMe app?

JB weld: cheaper than a TIG machine.

It was my upper pan that cracked and it was a good 3 inches, I found one and it'll be here by next week so hopefully after finals I can put it in. I'll post a pic later to show the damage. I'm not, I never heard of it until now lol I've heard of groupme, but I've never used it before.

As long as it flows into a non-tech engineering program. I have met very few mechanical engineering technology graduates that have the job prospects of a regular mechanical engineering graduate.

I intend to have something in writing before I start. I know this trap, and I don't intend to fall for it, although if there's a chance they will accept it partially and I can make up the difference in a summer (and it's in writing) I'll do it. I also have potenial leverage to bend the rules if need be, but I'd rather avoid it.

Also watch where you go, and what you go for, dont spend money to not get a job.

Only one University around here has an actual engineering program (out of the 10 real universities in this tiny province) so I don't have much choice. I'd need to head a few over to find one that's only arguably better, so I'm lucky there.

If I graduate without another job offer and I've managed to keep my current job (either working or educational leave of absence), there's a clause in my contract that I can transfer into one of our engineering departments. Apparently I can transfer up to one year before I would graduate, so that's something I should look into as an interim or even backup plan.


Either way, I need a lot of info before I jump in head first again.
