Anyone around here still doing FSAE? My team is clambering to get the car ready for rollout in a couple weeks.
Also, as a Physics major, I lucked out that my professors for the advanced classes don't use mastering physics. I've spent so long helping my roommates with their mastering physics homework only to find out they had the right answer, I wouldn't wish that fate on anyone.
I graduated last year, but since I work for a small manufacturer now, I did a lot of sponsorship work for the team I was on.
I had such a kick ass professor for Physics II. Lots of work, but he was damn good at teaching it.
You lucky bastard. I cant understand a single word my asian professor says. Plus I feel like she makes all her tests assuming we all have the minds of asian students. I see problems I havent seen before. And I dont understand why most of the equations we have to use arent on the equation sheet she gives....seriously? whats the point?
Are you going into Engineering? - electrical eng, better love physics 2.... ME better love physics 1.
Mastering Physics sucks..... however nothing is worse than Mastering Engineering.
No engineering for me. Im a building science major, which in a sense is like engineering, but less detailed. I only have to take regular physics, but its still sucks. I have study partners and it still dosent help. Both physics 1 and 2 are difficult for me.
Im just glad you can look up a lot of the answers on google. Also one of my study partners has a chegg account, which most of the correct answers reside. I can at least get credit for the answers then study their work too.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Honestly Chegg is great lol... I didnt discover it until I took Thermodynamics... and let me tell you.. I was hesitant at first but Thermo HW really sucks... I never struggled with any other HW.. and If I did I had solutions manuals. By like the third HW I was sitting there for 3 hours trying to figure out wtf to do and only completed 1 or 2 questions lol....then I got Chegg and it really saved me many hours. The irony though is once I saw what I had to do I felt stupid cause it was really easy... Thermo is easy but only if you grasp the process.
I don't know what building science equates to? Architecture? Civil ? Never heard of it before.
Also FSAE related... yea if your school has that, get involved. You WILL get an internship... Umm Who is ready for the May 8th comp. lol.. maybe Ill see some of you up there.

Building Science programs are new these days. Auburn University is one of the first colleges in implement the curriculum. Its people like us who become project managers, estimators, consultants, and program managers. We specialize in the process that must take place to make the owners idea become a reality. We know a little about everything that goes on, so we can innovate the current inefficiencies to make the building process faster, easier, and much more cost effective.
To answer your question in terms of what BSCI can equate to, it's nothing. It's pretty much it's own thing.

This engineering design project has kept me up late. Only a couple of things left to finish before i can rest.
Looking forward to summer classes, and then next falls classes. Working my way up and into more intriguing ME classes is motivating as fuck.
Wait until you have your capstone project... that'll keep you up.
And I know what you mean... I would have had an extremely high GPA if it were not for the stupid ass general classes you have to take. You'll definitely enjoy the actual ME courses.
What a fuckin joke...got a 70% on financial accounting final, got an A- in the class.
People in college: Don't stress about your GPA. That A- will have no effect on your life, so don't let it bother you. I was the same way, and once I was in the ME program I obsessed about maintaining a 4.0 in my major. That didn't quite happen, and it hasn't affected me... actually having a high GPA has had zero effect on my job search. The only company I came across that even bothered to ask was Boeing, and they are more worried about extra curricular stuff, whether or not I passed the FE exam etc. If you want to go to grad school you will need a decent GPA, but not spectacular.
Obviously you still want to do well in the classes and learn as much as you can, but do not let shit like a slightly lower grade affect you... in the end it doesn't matter. Go out and enjoy your spring break... wish I had one.
A- in Kinesiology
B in Spanish
89% in Amer. Gov.; still waiting on transcript grade to say B+ or A- lol
Fuking Psychology teacher is on one; I know I did good on the final but supposedly got 85/150 on the final... Got D :hitler:
Sorting it out next week though
