Have your rear end apart and be forced to ride your motorcycles.
      Or..
Ride your motorcycles more often than you drive your car and not worry about mileage.

I swapped an i motor in to my early eta.

2.79 diff does wonders; cruising on a flat road, 50mph at 1500 RPMs in 5th gear. Up shift at roughly 2k for eta like MPG's!

That said I still hate my diff :hitler:

Swap your ETA into it, you know it would be the first of it's kind.

Cruise generally gives you worse mpgs. It maintains constant speed at the price of varying rpms, which is what you want. If you are going up hill, the cruise adds gas to keep up your speed.

yeah... but think about how much you'd have to be in it just to get to 35mph if you had a super long diff. it isn't just the RPMs you have to worry about, it's also the load.

Interesting. I didn't know motronic kicked them off. I always watched the econoguage on the cluster, and engine braking at 45 it's reading at 40, with clutch in it's pegged at the thick solid line. Because that's based off of injector pulses, I assumed it was because it was still pulsing. Learn something new every day though.
Coming up the next hill at a higher rate of speed purely thanks to momentum without engine braking is enough for me to keep this tradition going though.

                        I have noticed the opposite.

Moreso for higher speeds, but keeping your car clean with a fresh coat of wax will help a wee bit.

If I try real hard I can average about 32mpg.

Also to add to the list find routes that have more left turns then right. Or if you drive on the right side of the road you want routes that turn right more then left.

USP dose this and it saves them something in the order of 1 million gallons of fuel a year.

Left turns? Im confused again. Hahaha

So do autos cut fuel when wheels are spinning crank too?
