You can all hope that the gear failed - but that was INSANE poiliting - did you see how the captian kept the plane dead square on the runway? That video will be show for YEARS, years!!!! in piolit training programs. YEARS...!!!! You wish you were that good....
You all sould be amazed at that. I know bunch of piolits (hard drinking guys...that's for sure) That all have stories - none like that.
He set it down on LAX 22L - longest runway they have - and did a PERFECT landing -
Unbelievable....props to the piolit...
That's like pakring into a tight spot with your little e30 with no front tires at 100 mph...

ya the pilot did a perfect job.
the front landing is built to take a lot of weight.. you have to picture when planes come down for a hard landing and the tires blow, (air transat at the azores where the pilot glided in and hit the ground hard blowing all but 2-4 tires) the landing gear has to be able to take the hit.
its like watching rally drivers jump 80feet and keep on going.
