I'm still working on mine. Not a lot, and certainly not quickly. Still, I have the interior for it now, and I scored 90% of a 101 1300 (I had the block, but none of the internals or head. I now have the pistons, rods, pistons, cylinder sleeves, a head with cams and valves.) I got the package shelf and shock tower cover covered as well. A full set of new stainless brake hardlines are sitting in a box waiting to be installed along with the new master cylinder for them. There is an 8 lb aluminum flywheel, gear reduction starter, and other bits waiting for me to get the engine ready to go in the car.
Speaking of the engine, I started in on the bottom end of the 1750. I was going to replace the rod and main bearings with some King coated ones, however the bearings I got have some roughness to the coating so I think they will be going back to Summit. (I learned from the local machinist that when King gets their coatings right, they are some of the best bearings in the world, but lately their coatings have sucked.)

Speaking of Alfas that seem to be finished...
Holy Fk...$79,000....?
This is not a Duetto, that's only 1966 and 67 - more properly called a "1750 Spider Veloce." Has the 1750 engine of course, SPICA fuel injection instead of Webers, 14" wheels down from 15", headrests, detail changes and steering wheel, different marker lights and badges.

T-33 flat 12
NA 3.0 520 hp
Turbo 2.1 640 hp.
This is the NA 3-liter. I like the hillccaimb at the very end the best.
And this is cool - a guy named Hans Sipma filmed this in Super 8 (!) in 1985 at the Monterey Historics when Alfa was featured. Starts out sappy, but an unbelievable collection of racing Alfas and great noises, and the great Fangio driving his world champion 159 again. Also bonus Phil Hill and Jackie Stewart. I think the mechanics are speaking Italian with Phil Hill. Listen to those straight 8's with blowers! What a badass car that was.
Some weird WWI era huge Fiat in there as well, and a see a Lotus Elan on the track. Then towards the end is Hans in-car video on track in his Giulietta Sprint thru the corkscrew. Then some great multi-class vintage racing at the end....250GT vs Corvette, sweet.

The roadster has more tire and more brakes. Whatever pads Craig Carter was using on his car really weren't up to the task. The widest tire that will clear under a 1600 Spider fender without flairs is a 185. I'd bet Craig was running 205s on his car. I can clear 225s under my fenders.
Weight wise, my car is about 1900 lbs based off what "Spike" weighed when Garm built it. (A car and former owner from the Datsun roadster forum) I'm fairly sure this race was Craigs first in the car, and it likely needed a lot of sorting.
