I woke up last night and got some out the fridge. First sip of the season and I forgot how gross the stuff is and nearly ralphed...so I felt the need to turn my computer on and start a thread here at r3v I guess. TBH I vaguely remember posting this.

Maybe its just the stuff we get here in Canada. Traditional, local Reid's Dairy stuff I think.

Proper egg nog is a ~100 year old cocktail recipe. I'm not sure wtf the stuff in the carton even is... tastes NOTHING like real egg nog. The Tom & Jerry... now that's where it's at. Google it.

The only eggnog I really like is the stuff my grandma makes from scratch. She also puts bourbon, spiced rum, and brandy in it... so that might have something to do with it...
