Last summer I had to give up my St. Bernard, I loved him and he was the best dog you could ever imagine. But with my financial situation worsening I just couldnt keep him :(.
I just got a call from the Humane Society saying that he was surrendered by the family that adopted him last night. Apparently he was showing 'aggression' towards the young children in the house, so they called and had him taken away. In the time i owned and raised him he was no joke the sweetest, gentlest dog you could imagine. Needless to say, the call from the Humane Society was devastating. Anyway, the man who picked him up from the family's home told me that the dog (Massimo) showed zero aggression towards him, other dogs, or the others at the animal shelter.
As much as i want to take him back and have him be my dog again, my current place is a small 1 bedroom with no yard, and my financial situation isnt much better than it was. So now my question is, how do i find him a home with people who will treat him well and care for him how he deserves to be cared for?
He is the pick of the litter pure bred St. Bernard and is about 1.5 years old now. This dog literally never left anyones side, he loves people. He would try to follow me everywhere, outside, when i went to the bathroom, literally everywhere. He loves people, and is very smart. I never had a fence at my old place and he didnt run away once. I've had dogs my whole life and he takes the cake as the best dog, so I have to find him a great home. Anyone know of any good ways to go about doing this? He is at the Humane Society in Kansas City, MO right now. Any locals looking for a kick ass dog?
