LOL. Any question about any kind of audio on any internet forum ALWAYS turns into this.

I bought the SkullCandy earbuds for snowboarding, when I'm sure as SHIT not wearing a $300+ pair of over-the-ear headphones that are going to get destroyed if/when I eat shit hard, and won't fit over a helmet, anyway. When I'm coming down a run, I'm not really too worried about the warmth of the drummer's rat tom and the high end of the guitarist. I want it to be loud (to a point), and sound decent.

Audiophiles (or at least, the really annoying self-proclaimed ones) love to preach about how shitty this product is, how amazing this one that THEY like is, and how much they know. But when you're talking about certain products for certain applications and situations, you have to go with what works the best. Expensive over-the-ears and hi-fi headphones are great for when you're sitting at your desk or in the house. Not really good for much else.

The skull candy titans don't sound bad, of course they can't compare to a true head set but like I said earlier there for working out and I don't want some clunky piece on my head. I think these should do.

If you like music to sound good, ear buds FTL.

I have a friends who splurged on a high end par of Audi Technica over the ear headphones and they are the best sounding things I've ever heard. Just sitting on the desk face up, they sounded louder and better then the speakers in his laptop. lol

These and similar ones are pretty cool though:

I have a pair of these:

They work great, but are a bit uncomfortable as the ear muffs are a bit small and make my ears hurt over time.

I hate working out with in-ear earbuds due to the sound isolation. You hear the thump of your feet, the rubbing of the cord, etc. Plus I like to be able to hear cars when I run outside.

I'm thinking about picking up some of these: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-OMX.../dp/B0035JKJ4U

Edit: Okay, maybe not. For $30 the reviews aren't looking that stellar. But I want some in that style, anyway. Or maybe these.

For those of you looking at wired earbuds, I have a pair of Shure SE115s and they kick ass. They're a good bang for the buck, highly recommended.
