My wife had one as a company car a few years back. Ugly as shit but it was great on gas. Wasn't worth a crap in the snow. Other Prius oweners would wave at us like we were in some kind of club/cult together. Makes me want to puke just thinking about it.

As much as I love insane horsepower, I like feats of efficiency more. That's why I like BMW, maximizing both power and efficiency, which requires much more dedicated engineering and craftsmanship.
I agree that Prius's are a damn waste, though. I was hoping hybrids would be obselete by now and clean diesel would be gaining popularity.Comment

I'm not sure if it's better or worse than the days when the people who actually cared about the enviroment would come to our school to speak, driving a '70s VW van that burned more oil than fuel (and likely leaked just as much). probably worse, because now they have money.Comment
