This watch showed up in the mail today. It's much more yellow than it appears and is also in better shape. However, the crystal is loose and appears to have bent the minute hand at the tip. I think I'm going to remove the movement, service it myself and send the case away to be replated - possibly in something other than yellow gold. The band is awesome and seems to be original to the watch. The movement runs but stalls out - it probably just needs a general service. It could also be the result of the bent hand.

I've gotta say - I'm not much of a rolex fan at all - especially the gold ones. I much prefer the stainless models.

Of all watches I'm going to say the brand that I covet most is Longines. I've been waiting for the right one to pop up - and here are some pictures of awesome ones in the meantime:

I love my sub. As far as I am concerned, it is timeless. It's also tough as nails.

                          I wouldn't mind a nicer watch

but I'd rather have a racecar first.

                          Why?

look around the poor mans watch forum top 20 pmwf.com. I picked up an orange monster in japan a few years before they started selling them here .in the USA

I'm a fan of a lot of the Japan only higher end Seikos, and my father in law has seveal Longines, I have a replica one but thats about it.
