As a plow truck driver/repairman because i work for the government and they pretty much just hire anyone with a drivers license to operate a plow truck. I aint even mad.

I used to love snow. Then when everytime It snows, and its three in the morning and i get a call to come and plow /fix plows, i dont love snow as much anymore. Three in the morning...everything is cold/wet/sandy/rusty/sandy/salty and very broken (becausegovernmenttruck. )

Some winters are colder some are warmer. This is not new. This is normal and has been happening forever.

As far as global warming goes, the average global temps have very slightly been rising year to year, just as they have for as long as we have been recording them. So I believe in global warming because the data clearly shows it. However I do not believe humans are impacting this in a measurable way, it's just normal climate changes the earth goes through and has always been going through long before we were here.

global warming is just a "theory" like gravity or evolution is just a "theory."

    it's happening. it's real.

you can argue about the reasons WHY, but you cant argue it doesnt exist. and furthermore, i never postulated any reasons in my post, just that it was the possible reason why our weather has been so nuts these last few years.

Many people look at recent hurricane patters and blame several years of intense storms on global warming...however throughout history there have been at least 2 instances (since wether data has been accurate) where there were very very similar hurricane patterns and then a sharp drop off in storms, long before human pollution could have even been a plausible effect. A lot of data that people reference comes from very poor weather data collection methods of the eighteenth and nineteenth century.

Sorry to thread jack, but that's my view on global warming.

But whatever this warm weather is attributed to, I'm lovin it! Workin on the big-six in shorts and a t shirt.
You've just been dying for someone to mention global warming.

Anyway same shit here in Chicago, bought a TJ haven't needed it!

The study he references has been discredited, hence the similar links.

I envy you sir, and secondly regret in some capacity living in a country where nowhere is as warm as Atlanta (usually)

although it has been raining alot here the last few days and there is no snow to be seen this winter.

LOL same. I've been tempted to put my summer wheels back on so many times but I've been driving to Cleveland every weekend for a bit and quite a few times I've hit snow storms on the way up and have been glad I kept them on.

Im actually just going to call you a moron for being a dick about his post and then posting a bunch of similar links that actually dont contradict his statement. He never argued that the world isnt getting warmer, just that currently there isnt evidence proving its man-made sources. Your links are regarding the fact that the evidence (that was cast into doubt because of improper methods used by previous studies) shows that the temps are rising.

We all know the temps are rising, there just isnt any way to isolate it to any specific cause right now. Hell, the temps are also rising on other planets so it could have something to do with a solar cycle. We should be worrying about localized pollution right now anyway, that is what will kill us first.

Global warming skeptics suspected climate change scientists were hiding data. So the skeptics paid for a new study to find the real truth. The results are

Independent investigation of the key issues sceptics claim can skew global warming figures reports that they have no real effect

If this thread moves to politics and religion I'm going to have a fit. Climate change is not a political issue, it is a matter of science.
