    Keep it up man!

So good to see so much support here! I too know exactly where you are coming from. I tried just about everything and way too much of quite a few different substances. I'd say I hit rock bottom a few times before I got things straight. It's an especially hard situation if you are still surrounded by people doing those things...

The key is to separate yourself from anyone involved in those kinds of activities and move forward with your life. Find the things that truly make you happy and not just ways to escape. Surround yourself with people you love and who love you.

Stay strong brother, we are all here for you!
    Different strokes for different folks.

Its so much better to read a thread like this rather than one that says Dashboardmonkey was lost to an accident or overdose or some such statement. Remember that we not only live for ourselves, but also for others. We touch others lives many times and can make the world in general a better place.

Commit to not only make your life better as you have , but now take the next step and actively try and make others lives better as well.

Living life in a self induced haze is easy! Continue to make the hard choice and live without the need for impairment.

Wasn't around to when the thread was started, however I was reading through and hoping I didn't hear any bad news at the end of it. Needless to say I am very glad for you. I have never personally had any problems, but I have second hand witnessed problems that come from it. What you are doing is the best decision possible and do not second guess yourself, from one r3ver to another, congratulations to you sir!

Congrats. I know a few folks who have sobered up and am so happy that they are enjoying there lives to their full potential. Looking forward to you doing the same.
