Yeah, I didn't add BEP to my list because most would say some BS, their old stuff fits right into my list also, thanks for having the balls to bring them up.

I'm with Farbin Kaiber, 1999 & 2000 WAS DOPE. I saw Black Eyed peas in a small concert at the Pheonix in Petaluma (before Fergie) when their first album droped. It was cool

You shock sometimes, then I remember you're older than a lot of r3v. ;)

Glad to see Hiero and Del getting mentioned so many times in this thread :)

Still plenty of good shit kicking around recently, Pharoahe Monch and Black Star come to mind. Having seen Jay Z live, I can say he puts on a great show.

I love Hiero. Met Del at a music festival in Oakland once..
I listen to a lot of older/indie hip-hop myself, mainly because most of what they play on the radio, and label as "hip hop" is total garbage.

I prefer De La Soul, Hiero, Souls of Mischief, Tribe, Camp Lo, etc over the stuff out nowadays.

Rable rable rable....back in my day...rap meant something blahhhrggg.

Do you really think that's what real hip hop fans listen to? Even the more popular "underground" rap is very accessible.
