    Good for you!
You havent lived til you are holding up a M30 2 feet off the ground and wondering if you have ass to hold it there until help arrives.

Its almost not possible to tip a 4 castor stand, the same is not true for the 3 castor model.

Had a few close calls, but my m30 has been sitting on its T shaped engine stand longer than i care to mention...without any noteworthy failures.

I've never had an issue with my T shaped stand. And my garage slab is VEEEERRRYY deeply cracked.

Note to self. I don't want to live.

It's caster, and it is good for me! I'm stoked you're happy for me! Paying attention to what you're doing and being careful when you're moving shit around goes a long way!

I feel a bit better about myself after seeing that someone else had the same thought as me.

Anywho, I've got two I shaped stands, off brand, whatever...got them when I bought engines. One is holding an M30 no problemo, and the other is not being used, but held a M20 while I built it.

Also have a U shaped stand I got at tractor supply. It's holding my M60, and has been for nearly a year now.

Did you flip your engine upside down to install the oil pan or to torque rod/cap bolts? I almost lost an S50 that way on a cheapy 4 caster stand, on level concrete.

Buy the best stand you can get on Craigslist and re-sell it when you're done. I would never use a T stand because I've come close to tipping a 4-caster stand when rotating. It's hard to get the motor's center of mass right in the middle, almost impossible...

I haven't, but I would definitely not try it with one person.

I've just been stirring the pot for the last few posts, anyway. I got my T-stand for $23 at a tool sale. :D

This, don't know what you guys are doing with the T stands but they work great lol.Try moving it from the BACK with both hands on the top of the engine lol. I have had my m50 on one for about 1 year now and I have a M20 on another. And my Uncle has been using these before me for about 30 years. Kinda proven that they get the job done.

                          Three wheeled stands suck.

I have one of those cheap T-stands and it's good enough for my little m10.
                            Wouldn't hang a bigblock V8 on it though ;)

I have a cheap Duralast T stand from Autozone and I've only ever managed to knock it over with an iX trans/transfer case on it. And that was mostly due to the excessive length. Was plenty stable enough with the M20 and the M30 that's on it now.

I will concede that an I stand is going to be more stable just from a physics standpoint, but where's the excitement in that?

I built this with left over crap that was laying around the garage. it is really strong- but with the completed motor on it it looked like it was sagging a bit.
took a bit of time welding it together- but for free it is o.k.
