Secondly, TAKE GOOD PHOTOS. It's not that fucking hard.

This is all aside from.. yknow, having a good condition car at a good price
Don't listen to this guy. 4 pictures taken from your 2004-era LG cameraphone facing the sun and showing 2/3 of the car will suffice.

Nice brightly lit photos of car walk-around. Some fancy hip angles in there too. Interior shots are a must. Make a video walkaround and it cranking/revving idling. Post these things all over the place including craigslist. Make sure to say you arn't budging on your price or you will get a bunch of tire kickers. For sale sign in the window helps too.... most sales are local.

Obviously keep it 100% clean and shined up.... if you see a dirty car that is full of trash you assume the owner treated the maintenance and upkeep the same way.

Some people want $500 cars they know are a piece of crap. Post those here: http://forums.24hoursoflemons.com/viewforum.php?id=12

Most people want $2500 cars that are going to last forever, are in perfect condition, and have no problems. These people are stupid so always ask for at least $3500 so they know you are serious.

If your car actually is perfect you need to sell it in a place where stupid people don't exist and people appreciate paying good $$ for something that is actually good. We always actually use a dealership down the street from my parents house- he would take $200ish commission but handled all the paperwork, listing the vehicle, selling it etc. People show up because they want to look at the vette. Were thinking about buying a camry. And they drive away in your old bmw. yay. Don't even have to talk to any craigslist crazies.

This is a safe deal... nonkinky etc but sometimes it will sit out there for 2 months and not sell... which is lame.

Wash it, clean and vacuum the inside.

Take good pictures, not some cellphone bullshit.

So the ebay auction ends in a few hours. Current bid: $3,050. 12 Bidders, 54 watchers.

In R3vs car ebay experience, what are the chances I hit the $5k mark?

About the pictures : don't take em in the rain, or at the carwash, or in a field, or on a track...
Put some ugly cars in the pictures aswell ( seems to work for girls with ugly friends to get some),
photoshop things out of the picture u don't want ( lightposts, people, yourself...)

saw the ad on ebay (I'd post it, but unsure if you want anyone to)

just wanted to comment, that the color combo exterior and interior is super classy.

                      love it.
that would be such an easy car to make extra sexy.

Burns, I don't mind if you post it. I'm operating from my phone and I'm too lazy to. Thanks for the compliments, it really is a sweet car. Definitely a highway beast, pulls like a freight train once she gets going.

                            car in question-

pretty slick for a 35 year old gentlemans rig with less than 50Kmiles on the clock

                            4hrs to go!

Don't get the trailer thing. The car is more mechanically sound than my e30 that I drive from NY to WA

If you have a relatively cheap car for sale, raffling it off is a good idea. It is based on a trust system (people trusting you), but you can pretty much guarantee getting a grand or so easily for a vehicle.

For example, a local guy here was raffling off a 94 Golf and tickets were $20 a piece and he wouldn't "activate" the raffle until he had at least 25 tickets sold, $500. Genius, I know
