Ever feel like changing gears?

If I ever leave the e30 scene (very very unlikely) then it would be for something equally or more hardcore. 993 or older porsche or lotus exige. Can't think of much else I would go to from an e30. I don't mind a car like this for a daily.

I can see myself going from my ix to an e46 328i. They're getting pretty cheap now. But the rx8 would need something like an Elise/exige or the cayman / cayman s to replace it.

I've been considering those same exact options for a second car. I'm thinking about either the exige or the cayman S. Something driver focused with a really good raw driving experience and amazing handling that's very capable and balanced on the track. I'd really have to drive both to know what I want because the focus for me is way more on the feel than the numbers. And it has to be naturally aspirated. Only thing is those mid engine cars are probably way harder to work on yourself than an e30.

Nothing I'd rather drive than a well built E30, except something more hardcore. Maybe a 635 with the M88/3 but I'd build that just as low, stiff and fun as an E30.

I will never in my life buy an automatic, or FWD car. Mark my words.

however I tend to be finding myself cruising CL and similar for older e28's and some mega old 7 series with M30's in them...

I picture myself obtaining a M30 manifold and carrying over my turbo kit from my m20T E30 to a overweight luxomoboat with it's plush and opulent interior.

fuck I want wood grain, automatic torque beast that lopes on a angry cam tune.

I need more room in my home garage to accommodate my daydreams.
