    This is R3V Location.

Well it is obvious that there are members beyond the USA, and I always see references to locations but never really know where that is or what the place looks like. So I thought I would start a topic for everyone to share where they live, what is special about the place or anything else you see fit. I suppose ill start off.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia here it is on a map.

    And here is the city

It is not really a very exciting town, a lot of older people move here because housing prices are generally cheaper than the other states and from what I have been told is better to raise a family. The weather around here is good getting down to around the 15 degrees in winter and highs of 40 degrees in summer. Usually sitting around the mid 20’s

Unfortunately the BMW or even the euro car scene is not very big down here so there is a very small community which is good and bad. Harder to find spare parts but you usually know everyone who is driving around.

So you are probably all asking what would I come to Adelaide for, well two things. First wine we have a shit load of it and is supposed to be some of the best in the world. If you ever decide to come check out our wine the two places to go are McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley.

Secondly is great driving roads like, Gorge Road, Old Belair Road, Mount Lofty Summit and so on. One example

We also hold the Tour Down Under in Adelaide, gives me the shits as it is impossible to drive around and feel comfortable with all the cyclists around. So of you that follow the V8 supercars have probably seent the adelaide race track which is actually with in our city. We also held le mans in 1999 on new years eve. That is all I can think of at the moment I am sure some other Adelaidians will add some more stuff.

Here are a few more pictures to leave you guys with.

Tulsa is considered the "Buckle of the Bible Belt", well into the 1960s Tulsa was considered one of the most beautiful cities in teh country, we are behind only NYC and Miami, FL in the number of Art Deco buildings here.

Decent foodie culture these days, BOK Center is in the Top 10 arenas in the country for ticket sales, cost of living is low, unemployment is low and wages are decent thanks to Oil/Gas/Aerospace industries, still quite a bit of manufacturing here.

Good selection of museums and the like.

The building at the end of this street, and in the left in the top photo was designed by the same guy who did the original Twin Towers, it's basically a smaller version of the WTC.

FredK thinks I live in the woods. I live in the suburbs of Connecticut. I go to Uconn. FredK thinks I'm a hick.

          So...I'm a hick...

Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.

In fact, "Milwaukee" is an Indian name

Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

            Wisconsin:

            David Hobbs lives here

Tons of things are made here, the Chrysler and GM plants are now closed down though because I bought an E30 instead of a new Le Baron .... or something.

Sagaris is forgetting to mention we are the land of unpronouncable names to anyone who doesn't live here. Except Candians. They don't count. They can mispronounce it completely and it will still sound right...

All those are no prob. Native american names are relatively easy. Especially the Pottawatomie and the Chippewa Ojibwe. It's easy for us anyway...

I have one good one not from around here. Those in SE PA will recognize how to say Schuylkill instantly. Anyone else not so much. I butchered it the first time I said it.
