I have almost achieved 400 miles on one tank

I feel this is pretty good for driving an e30, which doesn't necessarily encourage hypermiling

i routinely get 35+ miles after the gas light goes on in my car, and I just hit 370 miles in this tank, and the light came on maybe 3 miles ago....m42 FTW

when i was driving down to Dahlonega, GA i wanted to wait until SC to fill up for chap gas so when I was about 150mi into NC on 1/4 tank i just filled it to half way. I didnt realize that my GPS was going to send me west through NC and make me skip SC. At 1am in the mountains NOTHING is open, not even a hotel to ask where i could get gas. 30 miles into my dummy light and a lot of freaking out later i found an Ingles that would take a card and i filled up on that stuff.

pretty scary to be in the mountians that late in the rain driving a leaky vert with no fuel and no AAA.

Funny how you American's bitch about $4.00 a gallon.
I just calculated how many dollar/gallon it cost around here and that's around $9,30 a gallon :(

We do get 95 octane as the lowest octane fuel though, and 98 doesn't cost that much extra

our octane numbers are AKI: AKI= (RON+MON)/2, not just those silly RON numbers.

MON matters, especially under leaner load conditons.
