Best advice I can give you is to stop looking, start living, and you'll find it naturally.
I need a job.

this is good adviceIf you enjoy working on cars, then do it man. Don't let what other people said about the profession take away from what you want to do, and enjoy doing. There are people that hate their job in EVERY SINGLE profession. These people will go "oh, why would you choose to do that?!" everyone from Lawyers, and Doctors, to Mechanics and Musicians. But in every career you will also find people that absolutely LOVE going to work in the morning. These people chose their career based on what they're passionate about, and what they wanted to do regardless of what some other people thought.
Do what makes YOU happy. Do what is going to make YOU achieve your long term goals.
the world is full of nay sayers
look up the history of fed-ex. the founder was told his ideas were stupid.
find a job you like and you'll never go to work again“There is nothing government can give you that it hasn’t taken from you in the first place”

the problem with working on cars for a living is that on your days off all your friends want you to work on their cars. i'm a chef and have been a cook all my life and thats what i get. all sumer long, i'm the bbq guy, holidays, yup thats me too, friends getting maried and the list goes on and on. ever see a mechanic who's car is driven into the ground. there's lots of them. like me coming home from work and microwaving a hot dog. you just get tired of it after a while. go ahead and be a wrench, but keep all your friends e30's at arms length or it will get old fast.If you enjoy working on cars, then do it man. Worked there as the commercial parts pro for 2 years.
They're okay. But don't expect anything more than $8 an hour, even if you increase their commercial sales $390k at your store in a single year of working there.Comment

I remember my teacher was talking about thatWhat do you enjoy, Mike? What sparks your interest? I did not know what I wanted to do for the longest time. I eventually volunteered in a hospital and decided to get a BSN so I could become an RN. When I enjoyed the volunteer work, it was clear that I should get trained so I could get paid to work as an RN. I like the idea of a job that can't be sent to foreign lands.Comment
