Last couple times Ive been in LA, Ive gone to Hookah Lounge in Glendale. Their atmosphere is nice and hookahs dont taste that bad.

That's a pretty cool design, but is there any problem with the juice from the shisha dripping on the coals due to the bowl being upside-down?

Anyone still smoking hookah, or interested in talking about it?

First time I tried it was on my 18th birthday, not cause I was 18, but just a coincidence. Ever since I started smoking I wont go to a party without it. It is awesome to get people together and chill, as well as have fun doing tricks.

I smoke from a Deezer four hose, but only have one hose used at a time. I made my own hose form some clear tubing and a few other fitting. I paid like $5 at lowes, and it hits great. the wider gauge hose really makes taking a hit effortless and getting twice the amount of smoke.

I smoke mostly starbuzz as my local smoke shops like to carry it, but I recently bought some Smashing Berry Mint Hard rush tobacco from a friend and it is some of the best stuff I have ever had. The mint flavor really cools your throat/mouth and the berry is a nice mellow taste. My favorite so far is the Peaches and cream Starbuzz.

I tend to use quick lights as they are only $1.50 for a roll and a parties coals go like nothing. Heat management is really the most important part to having a good session without being harsh and what not. I am always messing with coals rotating them and taking off/adding for this reason.

I also always chill the water in the fridge or use ice in the base to get thicker/cooler smoke.

Used to smoke a bunch of hookah in my party days. Got good at packing bowls & tricks blah blah. Its pretty much dead to me now. Dont even enjoy hookah lounges anymore, but did enjoy watching the ladies faint on their way out.

Everyone always gives me shit about how meticulous I am about packing bowls. My friends love to just toss a bunch of tobacco in put some foil on with giant holes and a coal or two then smoke, I always break it up with my fingers and sprinkle it in and what not.

I am surprised at how well my female friends handle smoking it, because even sometimes it hits me real hard and get a crazy buzz.

Yea it was the same for me until they started hitting it. Had a specific setup to get Clouds. Need to get the air hole right, water right, bowl right, coals right it's a art. LOL

It definitely takes some patience and skill to get it going correctly.

I have this girl friend who has a 3 foot hookah that is real nice, but her bowl is shit as well as her technique. Normally within ten minutes of smoking, her shisha is burnt and takes like ass.

I have a vortex bowl which I prefer over other bowls. I tried the phunnel bowl and it wasnt my thing. I usually get about 2 Hours off one bowl.

well pretty much depends on the mix. How many holes you poke blah blah. If its chopped up fine I like to keep the coals to a minimum.

If it gets to hot it burns & taste gross. Wrap the bowl tight. Try to make a mound in the middle & less around the sides. Big enough to fill the bowl, but not high enough to touch the foil.

I like to move the coals in from the sides until it starts hitting. Then just manage the coals. If it start to get an off flavor take some heat off. Move the coals in - out. See how that works. Results will vary.

Use to have a 28" tri metal Khalil Mamoon with KM hose with tangiers funnel bowl. Would try to pack tangiers or nakhla sisha. Mountains upon mountains of smoke those two brands. 'That one cereal flavor', nakhla coffee and fumari's orange cream were legit!

I think in the old house I was in the mates would always have it going when I left for work (in the morning) till I got back (late at night). It killed the lungs a little bit but I swear it was the only way to get some people talking. Very social!
