Any hookah smokers?

Well tonights session was a fail. My friend didn't notice the hose was resting around the pipe and pulled it to take a hit then off goes the pipe to the ground. Broke the base as well as my bowl. He gave me $40, so hopefully I can buy a new base and a new bowl with that.

I've been wanting to buy a different base anyways because the one I had wasn't very wide and was extremely unstable. My bowl was already half broken also, so I may come out of this a winner.

Got 2 KM's and 1 Nakhla smoking out of Tangiers Phunnel's and have a Vortex and clay bowl for other sisha, Usually Smoke Tangiers Cane Mint(strongest mint ever) and I have occasional brands.

The vortex bowl I buy is about $13, so hopefully I can find a decent base for around $30. My pipe is pretty small, so the base doesn't need to be huge, hopefully making it cost less.

Any smoke shop will carry vortex bowls the Sahara Smoke vortex is a little more for the price but it's worth it. Jar you just gotta find the right one that fits.

I smoke about once a week.. Recently broke my bowl so I haven't smoked much. I was thinking about getting a funnel bowl, heard good things about them.

A friend of mine started a company that makes some super nice hookah hoses. CNC'd all aluminum tips AL6061, and vinyl hose. The standard hookah hoses corrode over time if you get water in them, and you end up with rusty dust in your mouth. These can be completely disassembled and put in the dishwasher. Can't say enough good things about them.

They make my hookah look like an antique.

How do you guys set up vortex bowls? How do you pack the bowl? What kind of coals do you use and where do you place them?

With Vortex bowls I usually sprinkle it around but not pack down on it just enough for it to be a little below the middle notch. Usually use Golden Charcoal/Fumari coals 3 tabs in a triangle sometimes 4 tabs separated in a square lighting up 1 coal and rotating around the bowl so theres always a coal lighting up while you're smoking. Seems like it's a waste of coal but take it from me it works pretty well. You only waste like a 1 -3 tabs per 8-10 sticks. A session like that would usually last like an hour 2 hours. I usually use Tangiers phunnel bowls and I usually smoke from 3-5 hours per session.

Thanks. I have another KM Pear that I have to buy the jar for hoping to go Bohemian on it but I'd have to save money to buy it cause it ain't cheap. I have 1 NuHose 2 KM hoses and 2 Guru hoses and I have 2 hookahs for mint and have separate hoses for them both.

Debating if I should try and get more $$ from my friend and buy a completely new pipe, or take measurement and just order the jar online.

Best bang for your buck hookah I recently bought is the Nakhla El Tahan for $60 I bought the bowl and the hose because the ones it came with sucked donkey dick.
