Well I think I finally pushed my finincial and time limit on my e30 which is supposed to be my daily. I can't afford to have a real project car right now and lack the facilities (e30 project +car port + shitty old neighbors = cops called constantly). So I'm getting my taxes back and am just thinking about getting a cleaner, better DD instead of my shit tank. Here are my two options in my area.

It seams very sketchy but the guy is just horrible at speaking any Engrish. I went to go look at the car yesterday and it is legit. I was pretty suprised at the price for a 2.3 16v. But anyways those are my two options as of now, any inputs from the community?

Get the e30.

You don't want a project, so you don't want an old 190.

so your thinking of going from an e30 project to an e30 almost project. Even with all those new parts you'll still have maintenance and breakdowns. Its an e30. I don't own a honda or a toyota. But for the money you have to spend and hopes of something relatively maintenance free, maybe thats how you should go until you can afford to through some more dough out on your current car. Reality sucks. I'm not saying e30's can't be extremely dependable. But for $2500-$3000, your not going to find one that you won't have to keep putting money into. At least not from around my area. This. You can never have to many e30s. But be prepared to throw another at least another 500 or so dollars at it for it to be what you want it to be. It WILL need something the seller doesn't tell you/know about.

Yeah I've talked to him a bit and I've gone through what it needs. From the point that I'm at, I bought my car for $2200. Spent 500 on maintenance and 300 on some visual helpers to get it looking ok. Thing is though is that I'm still looking at about another 3-4k before it is in the shape that I want. The e30 that I showed is still gonna have problems, I know that, but it's still $4000 ahead of mine. So I buy it for $2700, sell mine (it's too deep of a project for my situation right now) for 1500-2k and save a good $5-6k in the long run. Sound like a plan?
