So much truth in this statement. If I didn't have my wonderful girlfriend, I would never have another relationship again.

OT, I was dating my high school girlfriend for about a year and a half prior to prom. So it was pretty assumed we would go. I don't recall asking in a special way, probably just a card or note in class or something.


And the dance itself sucked. Worst social event of my young life. The night afterward was not any more illustrious either.

I asked the girl in person. We were sophomores, she was dating a senior. Apparently, he was too cool for sophomore prom. I took her, and then dated her until end of freshman year college. Moral of the story - be confident and go for it.

I had planned to ask my girl at the top of the Columbia tower in downtown seattle.(which is also where the ball is gonna be) Was gonna be all suave and pick her up flowers at pikes place after. But stupid Bank of America closed the base of the tower early, aka 4 o clock on a weekend, so i couldn't get us in, i was po'ed. So i bought her flowers (very nice ones) and just asked her in the parking lot, when i explained my foiled plan she thought i was the bomb. She was happy, i was super happy, she's outta my league for dang sure.
