Since mine will be an HPDE/nice weather car, I'm ditching the soft top and going with one of these.

Keep the sun off you at the track without the big blind spots of the factory soft top.

Miatas arent gay they are Fabulous, haha in all seriousness the fun factor of a miata far out weighs the geh factor, near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, cheap parts, rwd and standard. to get rid of the geh, you need the LSD, some sticky tires, a drop and most importantly a functional roll cage. One of my buddies has one that he DD/tracked, drove to college with it all the time and the girls loved it, they didnt even know what it was.

It's a car. If it puts a big ass grin on your face everytime you drive it, why are you gonna let what other people think ruin it for you?

It doesn't matter how you mod a Miata, the front still looks like a grinning dildo.

Of course, a dildo is more aerodynamic than an E30...

I always picture a sign like this next to a Miata whenever I see one:

Six feet and over need not apply for drivership.

                    I'm 6'4" and I fit in my NA...barely. NBs are a no-go, size 14s don't mesh with those pedals.

My '93 LE was especially gay. It was a riot, though. I do enjoy not having to unfold myself when I get out of the e30. It has a red interior too, so still sorta gay.

If you are worried about your image, you probably shouldn't be driving one.

if you're worried about your image, i dont know why you are on r3v or own an e30.

like driving an old 80s car is such a big deal.

For many casual observers, they would probably consider it geh.....but not as geh as a dude driving a V-Dub cabrio golf!

For the true enthusiasts they are not geh at all. I'd drive one with tasteful (and purposeful) mods on it.

Idk. Every time I see a guy driving a Miata, I say to myself, "darn, doesn't he feel a little homo?".

But every time I see a well done-up Miata, whether it be for track or show, I say, "hey that's pretty neat."

Seen a few modded ones I would enjoy pretending to fit in.

FYI the E30 comes in a soft top, no idea why everyone is talking about buying a different car when the E30 is better.
