Sure maybe if I'm just sitting in the fast lane and not overtaking, but are you saying that the people going the speed limit are a hazard to the people who are speeding..? Because that sounds ridiculous.

Ah r3v, where everyone is a professional driver and all the other people on the road are the "bad drivers".

You break the rules and get caught, you pay the consequences. Quit bitching about cops trying to take your money when you're fully aware that doing exactly what you are doing will have monetary repercussions.

I'm assuming your talking about 100km/h which is 62mph. If you are driving 62mph in a 62mph zone with perfect weather conditions on a highway then yes. you are a hazard.

I will keep enjoying Texas' legal 85 mph highways and unenforced tollway speed limits of 80 mph.

If you DON'T do 10+ over on highways in NJ you will get run off the road. I've lived there before I started driving but after going back there to visit and renting a car it became obvious it's impossible to do the speed limit. (I beat the shit outta the corolla I got, not by choice).

If you've never driven in NJ and think that you can do 55 in a 55 you obviously do not know shit.

This. Same goes for here. If your going less then 70mph you will get run off the road, and possibly shot by angry motorists.

Am I missing something here? Because I keep coming to the conclusion that you're saying 'doing the speed limit makes someone a hazard on the road', which can't be what you're saying...really.

When the posted speed limit is 55, general traffic is moving 65-75mph, and a person is chugging along at 55 they are a hazard

100% true in such a situation; when the general flow of traffic is moving much faster

That's exactly what he's saying. I've gotten pulled over once because I was going speed limit when the traffic around me was doing 80 in LA. Cop let me go of course, but not without a good trashing of why I should do the traffic speed and not the posted speed.

Cops are pricks; they tell you to speed, then give you tickets for taking their advice... This isn't about following the laws and abiding by the codes anymore, it's more of a discussion about the tyranny of the unregulated road-justice system

i still drive as fast as i want, and sure i get tickets here and there... i go to a traffic attorney kick him 75 bucks and they get dismissed typically with no work on my end

grab a traffic lawyer and keep driving =)
