Move. Start new. You only have one lifetime to live out all your dreams, and spinning your wheels in one place because it's comfortable will get you nowhere fast, blink your eyes, you'll be 40, and loathe everything you've become.
Get out of your comfort zone, pack up and go on an adventure, remember most old people say youth is wasted on the young. Don't let the life you want pass you by on the highway, with you in the slow lane.
A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.
I am in the same boat I don't have friends to chill with or loo for me to go chill with them, I have my gf but that's that it's not that guy buddy time that I think you and I are looking for I'm stuck at home wanting to get out and explore but have too much at home that has me tied down. I just say fuck it and keep doing what I'm doing and setting things up for when my obligations at home are lifted
the road of life is littered with those who wish they did something else and never had the courage to change
farbin is right, life is short, and you get one chance
find a job you love and its the last day you'll go to work

I sent a email to a place I want to work more than anywhere. If that falls through I am going to enlist for a AF Aerial gunner, that is one job that I have ALWAYS wanted to do. Should have done it years ago when I was 19. Did that tonight, let's see where my life goes.

I went to the arm forces it was a great experiance. my brother also served he fought in the desert storm in the late 80's luckily he made it back, its not the best time to be a soldier now but it has its benefits.
or find a hot cool chick that feel like you do and be happy.
PS. theirs nothing fun about about guns that just shit from the movies. If you dont go to the army next best thing learn some yuyitsu or other martial arts and build your physique and thus improving your mental clearity while going to school learning another skill which is kinda like joining the army thats if you dont want to leave your father hanging injured. Believe me you dont need to go to the army to be happy

I agree with that, but it is one of the best ways to see a lot of the world. I have been with enough women to know if it is ment to be it will come about. Currently I am not interested in a relationship. That is 98% the reason I have been staying single the last 1.5 years. Other 2% is most women are tards. Pretty women are easy to find, but a cute woman with intelligence is hard to find.

O'rly? I guess you never grew up in a family that used the weekends for shooting ranges lol The AF has plenty to offer and I have always wanted to run a gun in a heli.

1st degree brown belt, extra class for bow staff and sword. I personally own two swords and have local awards in knife and axe throwing. I make my own throwing blades too. One of my past times in the ice season is polar swimming.

No clue why you keep repeating "army", I am looking into AF first and MAYBE Navy. I have 4 friends in the AF and my best friend is in Red Horse after changing from CCT(he passed, got his red beret. Just felt a calling for construction/engineering(RIT grad). They LOVE it, so I am going to talk to an instructor to see what my options are. What is 4 years? Honestly nothing because it feels like yesterday I got out of highschool when I was 17. That is almost 9 years ago.
My father is not a cripple, he just cannot roof or lay tile all day. Way too much stress on his knees for roof pitch/ladders for shingles and tiling on all fours. I have personally taken over the tile jobs because of my perfectionism for marble and custom bathrooms. If anyone has ever tried to cut marble they know what I am talking about, now image the 1,400sqft house I finished last year. Mosaic bathroom and entryway, everything in the kitchen, bathrooms, closets, pantry etc
Currently he is doing plumbing and electrical work because it is zero heavy lifting.
And again I am not upset at what path I took for the last 14 years. I am a Master in: Plumbing, electrical, roofing, mason/tile, general construction(windows, doors, wood floor, framing anything house). I specialize in decks and tile. I build people's dreams.
I just want to move out of NY and experience something new, who knows...I could move away for 5-10 years and come back to doing what I am now. I LOVE my job, I just feel like I am missing out on the world you know?
QFT. There is so much more to do over on the West Coast. Take it from me, I lived in a small town in Indiana with nothing to do and a dead-end place. After high school all my friends moved to go to different colleges, while I stayed at a closer University, got married, or had kids. Me and my girlfriend were basically sitting in this town rotting away at 21! So we decided to move to the West Side (Scottsdale, AZ, where all the 'kids' play) and we've been having a blast ever since. Within a year of me being here I've already doubled my income from what I was doing in IN, my girlfriend has TRIPPLED hers and we have a shit ton of friends our own age and we go out all the time and have fun. The west coast is where it's at. Take it from someone who has just recently done the switch.
Life moves on and people adapt. This is your life Brandon, not your families. Your brother has made a decision to leave the nest and join the Navy knowing that it will have an effect on his family. I bet your dad is pretty proud of him. I bet he would be proud of you too if you decided to step out of the comfort zone too. Don't hold yourself back because you don't want to see you father have difficulty. He is probably a very capable man, and he will adapt to your leaving just as he adapted to your rise into adulthood. I'm sure he'd be happy to see you spread your wings even further than you have already.
