My quickest 0-60 time in my old 2000 M5 was 5.18 or or 5.19, with some pretty sticky tires on the back and a nice stretch of road (grippy asphalt). After that I got continually worse, closer to 5.3-5.5 seconds :/

I got out-accelerated by a Odyssey earlier on at the freeway onramp.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Speedo lag and inaccuracy means you can't count on the speedo for these types of measurements. In this video the timer doesn't start until the car is going ~10mph (after the speedo first moves).

To be perfectly honest, those are pretty damn well-driving vehicles for what they are. Decently fast, stop well, don't feel overly heavy, etc. Super unbalanced in the rain though.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I did the motor swap cause I was tired of getting walked by V6 Camrys.

Lol bald tires do not have better dry traction...then racecar drivers would never change tires
