I just spend almost 3 weeks abroad.

met up with some Germans, nice people...a little quirkly, say "whatever" alot, and one really liked prostitutes.

was staying at 5+star resort (where I got married WHOOP!)

all of them, on various occasions made mention that there was a lack of toilet brushes in their hotel room.

All rooms had a flush toilet, and a bidet alongside the toilet..but NooOOoo...that wasn't enough for them.

they all insisted that every washroom, public and private in germany is equiped with toilet brushes.

They quizzed me, and were all appauled that it didn't really bother me that my room had no toilet brush.

I said that yes, at my home I have 1 in each bathroom, but in any hotel/resort i've stayed at...never was there a toilet brush incorporated in the decor.

the 1 guy "Dierk" was disgusted at me...saying "WHAT DO I DO?!!"

I answered that he should probably seek medical attention if he's experiencing chocolate tsunami's on the daily, and STILL it was something so foreign to them that our ommitance of toilet brushes was acceptable.

Europe has higher efficiency toilets that flush with much less water than standard NA toilets.
Because of that, the design requires most Euro toilets have a smaller throat to effectively flush sufficient matter. this results in a smaller water spot. these toilets flush well enough, and would probably be sufficient on a MAP test, but the fact is, there is a lot of "streaking''
due to the small splash-down area.

and really, who likes shit streaks?

hence, Euro zoners <3 their toilet brushes.
