Point taken. Although I don't really want to buy any type of car brand new so maybe my type is kind of an exception in the marketplace.
So I test drove a FR-S (FT86) today

I absolutely loved the FRS concept, looked like a poor mans Lexus LFA imo, but kinda disapointed with the production model. The Genesis leaves a bad taste in my mouth after seeing the some guy on youtube ripping donuts and blowing the bottom end onto the ground, funny though the guys reaction was like,"whatever, I got a warranty" haha fool
Guess I'm just old school I'll stick with my e30:)Comment

+1. This looks like a great car to buy.Still amazes me how some of you guys don't understand the concept of this car and yet your E30 owners... This car is not about straight line speed/power! Granted I am sure it would be a bit more fun with another 50 hp, but still.
I have to say this is on a very short list of new cars I am actually interested in owning if the funds were available.
My only concern with buying one in a few years is that it will be very hard to find a unmolested used one!Comment

Test drove the FRS today!
I was on my way home and I spotted a blue one at the dealership.
I immediately pulled a U turn and checked it out.
The whole time I kept telling them I was just looking, but the salesman really wanted to take it for a spin, so we went hooning on some back roads.
The whole time he was asking me if I wanted to drive it, I eventually gave up and said yes.
Im so glad I did, I turned the traction off, and it is a joy to drive!
The power was ok, but it handles so awesome for a sub 25k car.
I really want one now.sigpicComment

I feel the same way. It's still on my mind but I just have to keep talking myself out of it. If it had just a bit more power though I would have bought it immediately.sigpicComment

Whenever I test drive something I always make it a point to terrify the salesperson (women are easier). It backfired when testing a jag though, the guy was a part-time CCA instructor and drove an E30 M3 daily.Im now E30less.

Tried to take one out today, sales guy tried to tell me they're really hard to get their hands on and if they can get one it's a $500 deposit to take it for a test drive. I laughed, said I totally understand, scions are pretty exclusive and left. Lol @ cheap car companies thinking theyre the shit.Comment

I love the Subi dealer around my area. The guy I usually deal with loves being out of the office and in the cars. He will practically beg you to hop into the STi or the WRX. I suspect he will be no different with the BRZ. I serriously cannot wait to get home from the sandbox and take one out for a spin.1990 BMW 325is 5spd Black
