Nice! Some pics of the progress on Miata track build if you're interested.

I will be watching this, as I want to slowly go through the suspension.
Not sure if I want to get Coilovers or just run some Konis/Eibach springs.1986 Plymouth Horizon. Base.Comment

I've read lots of good stuff about the Flyin' Miata VMaxx coilovers, so I decided to go with them. They have now released an adjustable version for a few hundred more and with stiffer springs.
I figured the non-adjustable spring rate + sways would be good enough (almost sent them back and exchanged them) because my local track, Hallett, is fairly bumpy/rough.
There are more pieces/more complicated setup than the E30, but it's just as easy to work on. Only real problems I've run into so far:
1. The rear CVs were so rusted into the hubs, I ditched both. Torch, days of PB blaster, 3 bent bearings pullers.......
2. Getting the front knuckle from the upper control arm. I'll get the control arm off this week and just let a machine shop separate them for me.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

What's faster? An E30 318is, or an NB Miata? On the street, at an HPDE, and at an AutoX. Anyone?Comment

The NB Miata has a far superior suspension, less weight and more HP.
An I/H/E on the 01+ motors with a tune nets 140-145whp in a 2300lb car. I loved my 318is (mine was on GC's with poly bushings and 215/40/17 RT-615), but I can't imagine it handling like a well setup Miata does, and my car is a '90 with probably 90whp.

I just sold my Miata last weekend. Drove it for five months and never got laid (by a woman). Bought my E46 a month ago on a Friday and literally that Saturday I fell in to some damn good poon. Still banging it too. Coincidene? I'm not so sure...www.truegearhead.com
