I've had quite a few miatas but ill take the miatas over a convertible beetle in beige any day. I had to DD that beetle for a few months...I wish it had tint so bad.
Nothing wrong with the MX5, kind of like the Cooper S. Some chicks buy them because they are cute, and some dudes buy them because they are a fucking hoot to drive. Some track wheels and a non-girly color goes a long way in showing that you fall in the later group.
2002 C5 Z06 just ticked 25K miles. Bought it with 22K miles and bought it to drive :) Mod list is ridiculous and it's been a blast to drive. I upgraded to a Wilwood SL6R front BBK and all poly bushings. Huge improvement! It far outperforms my driving skills on track. So I'll continue to work on that.
I still run in the BMW circle, which is the only time I don't get compliments on the car We still have a BMW in the garage and my next build will be another BMW. I just wanted to enjoy some power and torque for once.
