Worst thing you've lost/misplaced/forgotten somewhere?

i thought i lost my keys once. ended up i was so fucked up that night they were in my ignition. luckily i was still a teen living at my rents house and got to park in the garage. so to make a long story short, i've only ever lost shitty jobs.

I left my laptop in a carrying case in the middle of the hallway of my office (publically accessible from the street and frequent), I was really tired.
Drove 20mi home, saw empty pass. seat, my brain when from tired to insane overdrive in a second, drove like Lauda on heroin, twice the speed limit in the city (stupid, but 2am), found it sitting there and took a really, really fuckn deep breath and felt like I won an infinite lottery, fireworks and all.
Now I have an external HDD for backups.

I have a recurring dream that I left my infant daughter on the roof of the car, in her car seat.

She is 23 now and has 2 kids of her own, I don't think it is much of a worry anymore.

Lost a nice knife to airport security (I'm an idiot for not checking my bag carefully after a camping trip the week before) but other than that I don't think I've ever actually forgotten anything valuable anywhere.

About 6 years ago I lost ALL of my keys, it was bad. They never appeared.

Zippo in gutter. Keys/ lv wallet fuck! More keys a few more wallets. A couple phones. Not lost but extra bolts found after working on car. Shit!?

Lost my wallet 3 times in a random 2 month period, never before and since i bought a chain wallet , never again.

Funny story. Was driving around a local lake & came across a lookout (which was connected to a trail) saw a phone & wallet left on top of a car. Naturally I slammed the brakes & pulled in the lot in search of some fast cash. Went to check out the wallet no money garbage phone & had atleast 10 credit cards. So since no cash what to do? Tried calling numbers in the phone got no where. Looked around the trail got no where. Went back to scene of the crime & realized the same dumbass that left his stuff on his car also left all his doors open. Threw his stuff inside & bounced. Moral of the story is if I you ain't got cash ditch the stash

My wallet, which had my ID and ticket for Dilated Peoples, the day before the show was on. Even if I bought another ticket, ID would not have arrived for a week.

Screwed myself out of a good show.
