^^Word. More pics to stoke the fire. Def my most favorite all-around bike so far.

        Yes yes yes

Had a 650 dakar for a while, loved it but circumstances came up which had me sell it. If I buy another bike it's going to be an F800gs as it's slightly more capable for covering long distances on road and not as overwhelming as a 1200adv offroad. Not too many bikes could do a 1000km's of highway, set up camp and spend several days offroad and turn around for another 1000km's without wanting to die.

Cale, talking about longer distance riding... whats the consensus on the honda vfr 800?

80's-90's bmw bike or a club racer.

or just get a ruckus (there's a knock off that's just as good for under $1k).

If I get a bike it will be a Monster.

No knowledge of touring bikes, but you can't really go wrong with Japanese bikes.

Unless you want a bike with character.

^ character to most people means going home on a flatbed.

I have a Monster as well. Awesome all around bike. You should definitely get one. But make sure its an injected one! Won't be as fast as the R6 on the top end though. You'll love the bottom end torque since you're used to the R6.

^Another excellent choice. Killer, broad powerband and a fantastic exhaust note.

I'm seriously digging this, although any bike would probably not be until next spring. I need to finish the Miata track build, then I can focus the play funds on a bike.

I rode an '07 Monster S2R yesterday. It was pretty excellent. Not wild as my TL1000S but much more comfortable for a daily rider and every bit as torquey down low.
