Good luck reading "On Killing", it is a good book, but holy crap it can get boring. It took me two attempts to finish it. Oh, and speedy recovery to you and all that jazz.

You don't get insurance during the summer?

      Good luck with the healing.

Right? Sprained my ankle a bunch of times. You will walk funny forever after that shit.

I wish I still had pics from when I broke my left leg...Twisting fracture that chipped a little bit of bone off of my medial malleolus of my tibia (2 leg screws in there) and destroyed my fibula (plate + screws)

Have fun with rehab, I had a good experience...Just remember that it is truly one of those things where you get out as much as you put in; no more, no less

Oh, and your calves will never be the same size again...I've hadn't been able to get my left calf as large as my right no matter how I worked it out

              EDIT: Found them

At least you're not getting surgery...Shit would be prohibitively expensive sans insurance

Damn that blows. I broke my Fibula and i could walk after a week, broke all the way through. The Dr. told me it was a non weight baring bone. It hurt to walk for like 3 months but i took a lot of Vicodin haha.

That's about where my break was, except I got lucky and broke both bones!

                    Fuck broken legs.

Well sorry I don't have a snapped bone story to share too. OK, not really sorry about that.
But just wanted to wish you the best and hope you have a speedy recovery. Breaks look clean so you should have some good bone stitching going on if you follow Dr. Advice and let it heal properly.

But sorry to hear that, and hope you recover well and quickly bro!

Also: be careful on the crutches. Things like to slip out from under them, and also the rubber doesn't grip for shit when it's wet. The ER put a soft cast on my leg and I went to go to the orthopedist the next day. My welcome mat slipped out from under my crutch, and instinctively I put my leg out to catch myself. It was the wrong leg. :|

I fractured my elbow back in 3rd grade on the day of my dad's birthday, perfect birthday gift haha. How I fractured it? I fell off of monkey bars, yea silly me.

                              Thought I'd share my story.

I've noticed this. Slipped in the bathroom a couple of times, the towel rack saved me. Also my god damn cat won't get out of the way so it's hard to walk around.

Also, taking a shower is a huge PITA. Any tips on that? I have one of those bag things that seal off your leg.
