got one a few years ago when my friends and i used to party a lot...long story short, a huge fight started at the bar i was in, got hit in the head some guy pulled a knife, got in my car and drove off, the street was wet my car started sliding, and hit a parked car, got scared went home... 3 hours later cops showed up at my house, and went in without a warrant, arrested me for hit and run, dui, wreckless driving...spent the night in jail, got out. then i pleaded guilty, got sentenced...then i met an attorney, he became my friend..got my case fought the case for about a year, won the case, learned my lesson, never drink and drive...

Never gotten one myself. I saw my friend get a DUI for driving stoned though, true story.

I was down in San Diego doing my thing with the dispensaries, and got back to my buddies house to smoke and enjoy the herb I brought down. We had two blunts going between 3 people, so it was like a baton race (puff, puff-pass). After we were stoned as a topless woman in Saudi Arabia, we decided it would be a great time to get Oreo Cookie milkshakes at Jack In The Box.

(For those of you familiar, this is the Jack in the Box near SDSU and the Arco gas station.) We make the journey there, got some milkshakes, egg rolls, etc. Pulling out of the drive through my friend cut off a police officer, instantly hit with the red & blues. We were pulled over, cop was joking around with us "oh ya got the munchies huh?" and I presented my medicinal documentation and said "yes the car smells like weed, I smoke tons of weed" but the driver was another story.

He asked the driver if he smoked and he moronically said "oh yea haha, we just smoked and got food, we're on our way home" immediately he had to do a field sobriety test (meanwhile cop after cop keeps showing up) and myself and another friend were sitting in the car thinking "oh this is going to be a breeze"...

Cop came back to the car, said "You friend is under arrest for driving while intoxicated, you're all legally pedestrians right now, and if you don't go home I can have you guys arrested for being intoxicated in public." I knew the last line was full of shit, but I didn't want to test the officers.

3 months later it was dropped to a "wet and wreckless"...not a full blown DUI, but he was arrested and booked on the spot, and yes I ate his egg rolls back at home.

U gotta try it. Damn delicious the first few times. Then after you bought them 10 or 20 times u just feel fat.

Got charged with one a while back and got it dropped to a neg driving. I think if it's your first one you have the option to get it reduced to a neg driving. I got pulled over speeding blew like .084 like super low. Cop was really nice and cuffed me for like 5 min then let me call my friends to pick up my car. Oh you might have blown into the breThylzer but Its better to wait for the one at the station.
Long story short
I paid for an attorney
No jail time
No probation
500 dollars in fines
Speeding ticket dropped
90 day blow and go on my car
Sr22 insurance for those 90 days along with my regular insurance so they don't find out I got a neg driving.

Uh yea it's a pain in the ass and a waste of time. Learned my lesson for sure and hurt my pocket about 4k worth.

Arrested for being stoned in public? LOL please, this is California brooo. Unless there was some sort of misconduct, that was out of line. That's like standing in front of a bar picking people out "Well you were drunk in the bar, that's fine-now you're one foot on public property, you're under arrest."

I have known one 16 year old boy killed when he drove head on into a truck and 24 year old woman killed when she went off the road. Both were drunk. I was young and stupid like they were but was also lucky and now know better.

Friend of mine nearly lost his life driving drunk. Had an SRT-4 Neon and was hauling ass down some country, lost it in a corner, rolled the car, he was thrown into the backseat just before the car hit a tree with it's roof. Had been buckled in and still in the drivers seat he would have been crushed. He thankfully walked away but maybe two weeks later he was back at it, but with no license. I stopped talking to him shortly after. Haven't really spoken since.

A guy I work with got one in January. He has a prior from 25 years ago. Hired a lawyer, got into diversion. 12 months with a breathilizer in his car, random urine tests, treatment classes and AA meetings every week. It will cost thousands by the time it is all done. He bitches about it but stopped drinking so I guess it worked.

Have a few friends who got dewwies. One of them almost kille a good friend of mine on the night of his graduation, he's been in jail for a little over a year and my friend was in a comma for around 3 months.... Nothing is the same.



No respect for people who drive drunk or under the influence of substances.

No doubt it's wrong to drive drunk but good people do make bad decisions...

Now my roommate on the other hand, has not learned his lesson. Got a DUI and had to sell his swapped and boosted CRX to pay for it. Now he's doing the same shit again, begging to either get caught or possibly worse.
