Also what's the point of having 800hp(1500hp in that Camaro's case) if you can't put it to the ground? Wouldn't you be better off with Mickey Thompsons mounted to a 15" Weld, Convo Pro etc to make proper use of that kind of power?

So what? People put 17s on E30s. That's not period correct. People put 19s on R32 GT-Rs. Same goes for that.

You're going to have no hope of getting traction with period-correct 14s fitted with polyglass tyres, pookie. As for the Mickey Thompsons and 15" Welds/etc they're also not period correct - they're a late '80s wheel in Oz - and those tyres need heat to work. Cold, they may as well be driving on stockies and the 20s will offer far more grip on the street.

800hp is always going to struggle for grip, but maybe that's not the point of the car?
