actually tho, how long did it take you guys to fully recover?

A week for me, throbbing stops eventually (all 4 at once). Took it easy until i knew i was fully healed, screw dry sockets and having to get re-stitched.

Make tea, unsweetened. Throw the tea away, put the bags in the back of your mouth. Do this a couple times over the first few days. Makes recovery pretty damn quick.

My Mom is a retired Air Force oral surgery tech, she got that from a old Army surgeon. Something to do with the tannic acid working to reduce or combat swelling.



A certain amount of bleeding is to be expected following surgery. Slight bleeding, oozing, or redness in the saliva is not uncommon. Excessive bleeding may be controlled by first rinsing or wiping any old clots from your mouth, then placing a gauze pad directly over the area and biting firmly for thirty minutes. Repeat as necessary. If bleeding continues, instead of using gauze pads, try biting on a moistened tea bag for thirty minutes. The tannic acid in the tea bag helps to form a clot by contracting bleeding vessels. To minimize further bleeding, remain calm, sit upright, and avoid exercise. If bleeding does not subside, call for further instructions.

And watch out for the dreaded "Dry Socket" that can cause a wee bit of "Discomfort"

One other thing is that the tooth shards stay in there for a long time
and then out of nowhere they can erupt out of your gums


that happened to me when I got mine down.

It was a long delay too and then all of a sudden like pimples formed in my gum and these tooth shards worked out.

and then, never heard from it again, other than the pit tthat the tooth was in can sometimes get infected.
on my top ones there is no pit but on the bottom there is small gap.

I only had 2 done but i was pretty much good to go the next day. The day of, I was in a messed up place. one day of drugs, and sleep and then youre past the worst.

I know the dentist told me about them when I got them yanked but it wasnt at all like he described.

ya honestly i took 1 vicaden. they gave me 3. the pain is over in like 4 hours.

after that its just some ache for days. Dont need anytihng but ibuprofen.

Theres just one flare up and itll be done after you sleep.

Ive had teeth pulled with anasthesia, and with just local, and I guarantee just local is way better.

general anasthesia will have you fucked up for days. In fact, it gives you a small chance of dying from the procedure where there would be almost none.

I was prescribed oxycodine but I took like one and decided I hated the effects of it so I went the rest of the time without anything, it wasn't too bad.
